  Hired a high clearance 4wd from Central Car Rentals with a camping kit and swags. Car supplied was a great LandCruiser 70 Single Cab Chassis WorkMate. Camping kit had nice simple touches where everything had been thought about. Car was fantastic, well maintained and reliable. The business has great authentic service, friendly Airport pickup/drop off is included. Sure you could go with some international major company and think you'll save a few dollars but it's better to go local, they have the right cars for the environment and have reasonable terms of use that they make explicit up front, no hidden fees and all that usual stuff you get with bigger companies. Would highly recommend Central Car Rentals.

  Definitely recommend these people for 4WD hire. They also offer camping equipment hire too, so you have no excuse to not see the area.

  Hired a 4wd for 4 days. Told them the areas I would travel which included very remote. All fine. Nissan Patrol drove and rode well. Did the full 1200km in 4 days.
