Well worth looking at. You can stay here or even camp. They are happy to see day visitors also. Buy your lunch or bring your own. Go for a walk to the gorge while your here

Lift your game Glen Helen Homestead and teach your staff some basic manners let alone service.

Great spot. Tired 'resort'. Our powered camper trailer (Cub Weekender) site was tiny. No room for car. Draw bar stuck out on the roadway. Had to make a temporary wall of rocks for safety. Leaking (overflowing) septic system smelt bad. Toilets/showers are not in acceptable condition. Paid for three nights, stayed two. I don't believe there are enough toilets/ showers for the number of people staying there. Nice atmosphere in the lodge - live music was nice. Had a lovely swim in the Gorge waterhole. With some decent capital investment this place could be excellent.

Taking our order was clearly causing him annoyance.

Looks a bit bare and uninteresting at first. Stay a couple of days or more and let your stress drip from you. Do some walks or do nothing. Sit under a tree with a cool one and watch the day fade into the night. Then sit around a fire if you wish.

Visited here on the 26th November. 16 of us. Everyone commented on the rude person responsible for counter service.

If the staff are that miserable its time they left or your management behavior overhauled.

Good spot for lunch and drinks after hiking Ormiston gorge. Service was really quick with a good range of burgers and beers. Pretty cozy seating inside. Staff were really friendly.

I am a local and the service was a disgrace in any circumstances.

Obviously this place makes its money from tourists who pass through and wont be back anyway.
